Pulled pork. Bacon. Slaw. More pork. More bacon. A bun doing structural engineering it was never designed for.
The Unimaginable Pork Stack started with a simple question: how much pork can one sandwich reasonably support?
We stopped caring about “reasonably.”
A towering stack of smoky pulled pork, crisp bacon, crunchy strawberry slaw, and a glossy bun. Sweet, smoky, salty, crunchy, messy. Exactly as intended.
Because this thing desperately needs something bright.
The strawberry slaw brings cold crunch, sweetness, and a little acidity to a stack that’s otherwise charging headfirst into pork, bacon, smoke, and sauce. It doesn’t fight the meat. It keeps you wanting another bite.
Toss the cabbage and strawberries together. Add just enough sugar and vinegar to get that sweet-tart balance going, then hit it with celery seed and a pinch of salt. Let it sit cold for a bit before building the stack so the flavors have time to get acquainted.
This isn’t precision engineering, despite what the bun may think. Use the pulled pork you like. Make the bacon as crisp as you like it. Adjust the slaw until it tastes right to you. The goal isn’t to reproduce a photograph. The goal is to build something you’re genuinely excited to eat.
Ridiculous? Absolutely.
Worth it? Also absolutely.
If it stays upright long enough for the first bite, you’ve already won. 😂
